Cheston L. Health School

This historical marker represents the first school for Mexicans in Corpus Christi, Texas. As said on the plaque, "school enrollment skyrocketed throughout the city during the post WWII, causing expansion throughout the entire city". The marker explains earlier years of Corpus Christi that tourists do not know about. The selling of the land in 1973 due to closing, is what made Cheston L. Health School what it is today; the Nueces County Courthouse.

Corpus Christi IceRays

I am going to be blogging about the Corpus Christi IceRays, a NAHL hockey team, because hockey is one of the few sports played in Corpus Christi, Texas. I was never a huge fan of the NAHL until my father took me to one of their games back in 2011- he made the game seem more interesting than I ever thought it was. Tickets to their games are sold all around Corpus, yet their ignored. What most people don't know is that the IceRays are actually more historical than what most people think.
